About Dragonheart

History

Dragonheart MUD was founded in 1995, during the golden age of text-based multiplayer games. What started as a small project among friends grew into a thriving community of adventurers, builders, and coders.

Built on the LPMud engine using LPC, Dragonheart has evolved over nearly three decades while staying true to its roots as a challenging, community-driven adventure game.

The Game

Dragonheart features a permadeath system that makes every decision matter. Players receive Soul Embers that can resurrect them from death - but these are rare and precious. Die without one, and your character is gone forever.

The world is divided between Order and Chaos. Your alignment determines which towns welcome you, which players you can fight, and which quests you can undertake.
